Artem Volos is an edtech entrepreneur and angel investor best known for co-founding ClutchPrep in 2011, a video based learning platform that he scaled from a tutoring side hustle into a successful acquisition by Pearson in 2022.
As COO and CFO, Artem managed operations, finance, and fundraising through ClutchPrep's growth from in-person FIU classroom tutoring to serving over 2 million students across the country. In March 2022, Pearson acquired ClutchPrep to deepen its video content capabilities and fuel its direct to consumer app, Pearson+. Following the acquisition, Artem joined Pearson as Director of Direct to Consumer, developing innovative education products for the global learning company.
Today, alongside his role at Pearson, Artem serves as an Angel Squad Member with Hustle Fund, investing in early stage startups and helping founders in edtech, consumer products, and B2B services navigate the journey from bootstrapping to exit.
"When you're preparing for an exit, you need to articulate what makes your company uniquely valuable to the acquirer's broader vision, not just what makes you profitable today."
